SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A California food company recalled about 213,000 pounds of meat, U.S. Department of Agriculture officials said Wednesday.

Garden Grove-based LQNN, which has ties to the bay area, operates as Lee’s Sandwiches in the Bay Area, recalled the meat because it was produced without being inspected and received an unauthorized USDA mark of inspection, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recalled meats includes pork, chicken products and beef and is sold commercially, according to the FSIS.

According to USDA officials, LQNN has been re-packaging products that weren’t inspected, endangering consumers.

The USDA said the agency classified the risk to people’s health as “high” in this recall.

States that sell the recalled products include Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas.

The FSIS has not received any reports of adverse reactions among consumers, according to the agency. However, anyone concerned about their health should see a healthcare provide, FSIS officials said.
