(KRON) A strong storm is barreling down on the Bay Area starting late Tuesday, with Thursday seeing the brunt of the storm.
Rainfall totals from the Wednesday night into Thursday are forecast to range from 2″-4″ with higher amounts along the coastal mountains and higher elevations across the North Bay.
Most urban areas from San Francisco southward can expect between 3/4″ to 1 1/2″ as the system rapidly moves across the region.
Forecasters say there is concern for mud and rock slides and debris flow, especially over the recent wildfire areas across the region.
High tides could bring flooding to Marin County.
High tide of around 7 feet and moderate amounts of rain will likely create minor flooding along the bay shoreline in Marin county Thursday.
