VACAVILLE (BCN) — Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with four armed robberies last week in Vacaville, according to police.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robberies on July 25, 28, and 30 at Little Caesars Pizza, Taco Bell, a Subway sandwich store and the Arrow Food & Gas station on Peabody Road, police said.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Taco Bell robbery on Thursday.
None of the businesses’ employees were injured but were shaken up by the robberies, police said.
Sgt. Steve Carey said the teens are related and live in the same house and that all four robberies were within a mile of each other on Peabody Road.
Employees of the businesses described the suspects as males who were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.
One suspect was armed with a knife when he robbed Little Caesars at 10:23 p.m. on July 25. Two suspects, one armed with a handgun, robbed the Taco Bell store at 3 a.m. Thursday, according to police.
One suspect robbed Arrow Food & Gas with a handgun at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, and one suspect robbed the Subway store at 9:21 p.m. that night, police said.
Officers spotted the 16-year-old suspect in the Subway store robbery walking down Southwood Drive. The suspect fled but was detained.
He was identified by witnesses at the Subway store robbery, and was in possession of a backpack containing money, a large knife and a gray T-shirt he used to cover his face, Carey said.
After an interview with detectives, the 16-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with all four robberies, police said.
Both teens were booked in Solano County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of armed robbery.
