Two robbery suspects have been arrested in Millbrae after attempting to take a woman’s purse who was sitting outside of a Chevron gas station on Monday.
The first suspect was identified as 28-year-old Vailolo Ieremia from Brisbane, and the second suspect has not been named but is a 15-year-old boy.
Around 9:58 a.m. on Monday, deputies arrived at the corner of El Camino Real and Taylor Avenue where a woman’s purse was stolen by a young man.
The victim tried pulling her purse out of his hands but did not succeed.
Officers say the boy got into a white Chrysler sedan with the license plate number 8BNK508 and drove off at high speed.
Burlingame Police Department was then notified of two hit-and-run collisions that involved the same vehicle.
Officials say the two suspects ran from the vehicle but were found nearby.
The 15-year-old has been taken to the San Mateo Youth Services Center and charged with robbery and conspiracy.
While Ieremia has been booked as Maguire Correction Facility for robbery, conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, hit-and-run, and DUI with injury.
