SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two stabbings were reported on Monday just blocks away from each other in San Francisco’s Tenderloin and Civic Center area, according to police.
Police said the stabbings happened less than an hour apart from each other.
The first stabbing was reported at 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Leavenworth Street, where a woman stabbed allegedly stabbed a man in the back with a knife.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, had been arguing with the suspect when she kicked him twice in the testicles, police said.
The victim pushed the suspect, at which point she stabbed him twice. The victim was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive his injuries, police said. The woman remains at large.
The second stabbing occurred just after 8 p.m. on a bus in the area of Eighth and Market streets, police said.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man, approached a female victim and punched her in the head and then stabbed her, leaving the knife impaled in her back, police said.
The suspect fled the area on a bicycle, but was later arrested in the 300 block of Eighth Street. His name was not immediately released.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment but is also expected to survive her injuries, according to police.Bay City News contributed to this report.
