PETALUMA (BCN) — Two people were arrested in Petaluma Friday in connection with an incident in which one allegedly displayed a knife in a threatening manner, police said.
Officers responded at approximately 7:30 p.m. to the Plaza Shopping Center after the victim reported a woman, identified as Celeste Vogler, 44, of Petaluma, tried to hit him with her vehicle, police said. The victim also reported a man, identified as Abraham Santos, 36, of Petaluma, pulled what looked like a gun on him and displayed it in a threatening manner.
The suspects fled the area after the incident, but officers located their vehicle at a local Motel 6, police said. The suspects both exited their motel room and were detained without incident.
Investigators determined Santos did not have a gun at the time of the incident but did have a large fixed-blade knife, police said. Santos also had several outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants and was on probation.
During the ensuing search of the room, officers, with the help of a K-9 unit, discovered five grams of suspected methamphetamine and additional drug paraphernalia, police said.
Vogler was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, police said. Santos was arrested on the arrest warrants, suspicion of displaying a deadly weapon in a threatening manner, possession of a concealed dirk or dagger, possession of methamphetatine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.
