MONTARA (KRON) — A very lucky man won $2 million on a California Lottery scratcher ticker and plans on paying off his mortgage with the winnings, according to lottery officials.

Gregory Naumann purchased the ticket in May at the Neighborhood Gas Mart, 8445 Cabrillo Highway in Montara, an unincorporated community in San Mateo County. That retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to lottery officials.

The powerball drawing for this weekend has a jackpot of $40 million.
