Two men and a 15-year-old boy were shot on Mondy afternoon in East Oakland, according to the Oakland Police Department.
Officer Johnna Watson reported that the three victims are being treated at three different hospitals but are in stable, non-life threatening condition.
The other two victims have been identified as a 42-year-old man and 51-year-old man.
The shooting happened around 3:40 p.m. at an autobody shop at 98th Avenue and E Street near Elmhurst Park.
Officials say a car drove into the driveway of the company, two suspects got out of the car and began shooting into the autobody shop.
“What we do know is all victims were a customer in capacity, they were not employees here,” Watson said. “We know two individuals were having some work done on their cars and the 15-year-old, it appears that he came in with his bicycle and he was attempting to put some air into his bicycle tires when this incident took place.”
Watson says there are surveillance cameras on the property and in the surrounding area that they will review to help identify the suspects. At this time, there have been no details released on the suspects.
“At this stage of the investigation, it seems to be intentional and specific,” Watson said. “But I really want to have the investigators come, have their opportunity to talk to witnesses, look at any of the area surveillance footage, and then we can move the investigation forward.”
Investigators have learned that the two suspects were shooting at one of the adult men, but as a result, the other two victims were also injured.
Officers and crime scene technicians will remain on the scene through the night to investigate the crime.
If you have information on the incident, authorities ask you to contact the Felony Assault Unit at (510) 238-3426. Officials are offering a reward of $15,000 for any information that will lead to an arrest.
