PETALUMA (KRON) — Two Antioch residents have been arrested in Petaluma on Tuesday morning after a weapon, ammo, and stolen mail were found inside their car, according to Sgt. Ed Crosby.

Police said they were told about the suspicious car at around 4:50 a.m. in the 1600 block of Corporate Circle.

Police said they found an unloaded and modified .22-caliber rifle that had been stolen in Pittsburg, live ammunition of various calibers, an empty 20-round magazine, ski masks, gloves and a large amount of mail

belonging to residents in Petaluma and elsewhere in the Bay Area inside the vehicle.

The occupants of the vehicle, Malia Asenaca Hoopai, 24, and Artis Malcom Crenshaw, 26, both of Antioch, were booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Hoopai had warrants for her arrest for a firearms violation and providing false identification to police. Hoopai admitted stealing mail to use in identity theft, Sgt. Ed Crosby said.Bay City News contributed to this report.
