FAIRFIELD (BCN) — A two-alarm fire that displaced three people Friday afternoon in Fairfield appears to have been an accident, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to a report of a residential fire in the 2900 block of Calaveras Drive around 2:30 p.m., fire officials said.

When crews arrived they found the blaze at the home’s rear extended into the living area, garage and attic, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze with assistance from the Vacaville Fire Department, officials said.

The American Red Cross was called to assist three displaced adults, fire officials said.

The blaze caused an estimated $350,000 in damage, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation, fire officials said.
