TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Two Alabama football players are in trouble with the law. Cam Robinson and Laurence “Hootie” Jones were arrested and are accused of smoking marijuana and having stolen guns in their car. Both were taken into custody in Monroe, Louisiana.

Many on campus in Tuscaloosa are talking about Cam Robinson and “Hootie” Jones.

Robinson and Jones were arrested early Tuesday morning around 2:30 a.m. at a park in Monroe. Robinson was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen gun, both felonies. Jones was charged for drug possession and illegally carrying a weapon.

Cam Robinson is an offensive tackle and Hootie Jones is a defensive back. Experts project Cam Robinson as a top ten pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
