A 2.8 earthquake struck near Berkeley early Saturday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 3:04 a.m. and was centered right in the middle of Berkeley and Piedmont with a depth of 3.3 miles.

No injuries or damage have been reported.
