SAN LEANDRO (KRON) — A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck near San Leandro Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The small quake hit around 7:37 a.m. and is centered one mile north of San Leandro city limits and just west of the Oakland Zoo.
It had a depth of 2.5 miles and happened along the Hayward fault, USGS officials said.
There was no damage or injuries due to the earthquake.

The quake was small but still strong enough to be felt. A KRON 4 viewer called in and said she felt it in her Oakland home near the Coliseum.
