SAN MATEO (KRON) — A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after two people claimed he pointed a gun at them during a house party.

Officers received a call from the two of the three victims at 10:13 p.m. Saturday, reporting that a man had assaulted them at a house party in the 900 block of Lakeview Drive in unincorporated Redwood City.

According to Sheriff’s officials, the victims admitted they had crashed she suspect’s party.  When they arrived the suspect, Jason Jones, told them they were unwelcome and an argument erupted.

When the victims began to leave the house, Jones chased them down the driveway, brandishing a handgun, according to sheriff’s officials. Jones then pointed the gun at the head of one of the victims and also broke the vehicle window.

After hearing from the victims, police issued a warrant for Jones’ arrest and took him into custody Tuesday.

Detectives also conducted a search of Jones’ residence, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jones’ bail is set at $60,000, sheriff’s officials said.
