DIXON (KRON) — Dixon High School student arrested by the city’s police on Tuesday for suspicion of committing a sexual assault during school hours a day earlier.
A 16-year-old male has been arrested and transported to Solano County Juvenile Hall.
According to Dixon Police and the Dixon Unified School District, Monday’s assault was an isolated incident and there is no risk to students, police Sgt. Glenn Cooper said.
It is unclear where the alleged attack occurred.
District Superintendent Brian Dolan called the incident “deeply disturbing” in a Facebook post Wednesday morning.
Dolan said people should reserve judgments about the case.
“I want to remind everyone that at the center of this incident are two of our community’s young people and their families and friends. Their lives are changed forever regardless of the outcome of the investigation and any follow-up legal proceedings that may occur,” he said.
“Please consider how you would want this situation to be discussed or commented upon if it involved a teenager that you loved and cared about and act accordingly,” Dolan said.
