MARTINEZ (KRON) — Fire crews extinguished a two-alarm apartment Tuesday morning in Martinez, according to fire officials.

The fire broke out at around 4:55 a.m. in an apartment complex on the corner of Arnold Drive and Morello Avenue.

Firefighters said Arnold Drive is closed at Morello Street just east of Morello for fire operations. Drivers should use alternate routes.

At least four apartment were fully involved in flames, fire officials said.

Fire crews saw a lot of fire throughout the roof structure.

Fire crews got the fire under control by 6:30 a.m.

One person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, police said.

Seven units at the complex sustained heavy fire damage and two units have been considered a total loss. In all, the fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damage, according to fire officials.

14 people have been displaced.
