CONCORD (BCN) — Concord police said a 13-year-old boy is in stable condition today after assailants stabbed him multiple times on Wednesday.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing around 10 p.m. in the area of Grant Street near Knoll Drive, police said.
Officers arrived to find a 13-year-old boy on the ground with several stab wounds.
The teenager and his friend were walking on Grant Street when a vehicle reportedly pulled in front of them, police said. Two men got out of the car and approached the boy, asking if he was in a gang.
When he told the men he wasn’t, the suspects shot at him several times, police said.
No one was struck by the gunfire, but police said the suspects attacked the boy, stabbing him several times in the stomach before getting in a car and driving away.
Police said the incident could be related to other recent aggravated assaults in the area.
No suspect information is being released at this time, police said.
