  • Santa Cruz Mountains

Heat Advisory In Effect Until 8 Pm Pdt This Evening

The National Weather Service In San Francisco Has Issued A Heat

Advisory Which Is In Effect Until 8 Pm Pdt This Evening.

– Locations: All Inland Locations Across The San Francisco And

Monterey Bay Region. The Advisory Has Now Been Extended Into The

Santa Cruz Mountains And The North Bay Interior Valleys.

– Timing: This Afternoon Through The Early Evening Hours.

– Temperatures: Inland Highs Will Range From The Mid 80s To Mid

90s In Many Locations. A Few Isolated Sites Will Soar Into The

Lower 100s.

– Of Note: This Will Be The Warmest Weather So Far This Year For

Almost All Areas Under The Advisory. Due To Recent Cooler Than

Normal Weather Conditions It Will Feel Particularly Warm.

Precautionary/preparedness Actions

A Heat Advisory Means That A Period Of Hot Temperatures Is

Expected. The Combination Of Hot Temperatures And High Humidity

Will Combine To Create A Situation In Which Heat Illnesses Are

Possible. Drink Plenty Of Fluids Stay In An Air-conditioned

Room Stay Out Of The Sun And Check Up On Relatives And

Neighbors. Remember To Never Leave Kids Or Animals In Cars During

Very Warm To Hot Weather As Temperatures Can Quickly Reach

Dangerous Levels.
