LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) – Los Angeles County fire officials say 10 horses and two goats have been found dead after a barn fire in the desert community of Lake Los Angeles.
Fire Inspector Joey Marron says crews were called to the fire on Mossdale Avenue around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The bodies of the animals were found after firefighters knocked down the blaze, which took less than 15 minutes.
Marron says two people with smoke inhalation were taken to a hospital. There’s no word on their conditions.
There’s no immediate word on what caused the fire.
