Local police in North Carolina say one person was shot at Butler High School Monday morning.
The Matthews Police Department says a student has been taken into custody.
The victim has been identified as a student and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Police believe this is an isolated incident and say the scene has been secured by police.
