One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting Monday morning on the Bay Bridge.

All eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge reopened Monday morning after being closed for more than five hours.

The shooting happened at around 2:35 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 just west of the Treasure Island exit.

One person was killed in the shooting, according to California Highway Patrol. The man killed has been identified as 31-year-old Darryl Stinnette of Mesquite, Texas.

A total of three cars were involved: One suspect car and two victim cars.

The shooting reportedly caused an SUV in lane 5 to swerve and collide with a sedan driving in lane 3.

There were three people inside the SUV. The driver died at the scene, authorities said.

Two passengers were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. One person was released from the hospital Monday afternoon. The second person remains in the hospital in fair condition, according to officials.

It is unclear if anyone in the sedan was injured.

CHP closed all eastbound lanes of the bridge for several hours as they investigated the shooting.

Dozens of vehicles were stuck on the bridge during the closure.

This is the second Bay Area freeway shooting in less than 24 hours.
