SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — One man died and another was injured in two separate overnight shootings just blocks apart.
The shootings happened in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.
The first shooting happened on Ellis and Gough streets at around 10:30 p.m.
The 24-year-old victim was jogging when he heard a gunshot.
When he looked down, he saw blood and realized he had been shot.
He walked home and was then taken to a hospital. He is expected to be OK.
The second shooting happened three blocks west near Ellis and Polk.
A 24-year-old man was found shot there at around 4:30 a.m. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police have not arrested a suspect in either shooting.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The overnight shootings come on the heels of another fatal shooting that occurred nearby on Thursday morning.
Early Thursday morning, around 1 a.m., a 44-year-old man was fatally shot near Ellis and Jones streets, police said. The victim has been identified as Shunsie Ellis.
Three others were wounded in that shooting but are expected to survive. No arrests have been made and police did not immediately release any information about a possible suspect or motive.Bay City News contributed to this report.
