SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – The McPlant, a plant-based burger, will be available in the San Francisco Bay and Dallas-Fort Worth areas on Feb. 14, 2022.

The vegetarian burger made its debut last October.

However, it was only available in eight select stores at the time for testing purposes.

McDonald’s co-developed the burger with Beyond Meat, a producer of plant-based meat substitutes. McDonald’s created the burger to give customers more burger menu options.

McDonald’s will sell the burger at approximately 600 participating stores for a limited time.
