Vicki Liviakis is the KRON4 News anchor at 5 p.m. She joined the station in 2001.
Vicki began her broadcast career in radio as an anchor and news director at KFRC Radio in San Francisco. From KFRC, she went on to anchor at Metro Traffic Control, K101 Radio, and KGO Radio in San Francisco.
Liviakis went on to anchor, host and report for numerous local and national television programs, including “The West,” “In America,” CBS’ “Day and Date,” and NBC’s “Real Life.” Her half-hour Travel Update program and Consumer Travel Reports were syndicated on over 100 TV stations in the U.S. as well as several other countries.
Vicki has traveled the globe, hosting on-location from Hollywood to Hong Kong and currently does the KRON 4 Dine & Dish feature.
Vicki’s idol is Oriana Fallaci, the Italian journalist and author who asked the world’s monsters tough questions and lived to tell about it.
Vicki attended the University of California at Berkeley, where she studied Journalism and Politics. She resides in San Francisco.
