Rob has been a member of the KRON 4 news team since 2003, working a general assignment beat in the South bay.
After leaving his native Minnesota, where he studied journalism and broadcasting at St. Cloud State University, Rob worked as a reporter at stations in South Dakota, New York and in Salinas/Monterey before joining KNTV in San Jose as a reporter/anchor. He stepped away from television for several years to take on a full time father role to his three daughters before resuming his TV career at KRON.
Rob says covering the great Loma Prieta Earthquake at Candlestick Park and in Santa Cruz are among the highlights of his career.
In his spare time Rob loves to ride his motorcycle, hike in the Sierra, read books about the west with his golden retriever by his side and has been known to enjoy a glass of his home grown California Zinfandel now and again.
