Maureen Kelly is a KRON 4 veteran Video Journalist. The 4th generation San Franciscan has the honor of working the entirety of her nearly 30-year professional career in TV news right here in her hometown.
She started as an intern at KRON4 in 1992, eventually moving up in the ranks to the Assignment Desk where she spent over a decade. After a brief stint at KNTV, she came back “home” to KRON to be the Nightside Assignment Manager.
In 2005 she transitioned from behind the scenes to be a Video Journalist in the field. She is both a General Assignment and Investigative reporter.
Her favorite part of the job is learning something new every day and getting to meet the interesting people of the Bay Area.
She is currently working on a series of stories around San Francisco’s Homeless Crisis.
She lives in the city with her husband, son and two dogs.
