Justine Waldman

I’ve wanted to be a journalist since I was little kid.

Working at KRON4 has made all my news dreams come true – especially since launching KRON4 News at 3pm which I anchor during the week.

On the weekends, I anchor KRON4 News at 6 p.m. and in Prime Time at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm.

I have covered some incredible stories in the Bay Area since joining KRON4 in 2011. The most memorable include being on the sidelines during Super Bowl 50, when SF Bat Kid saved the city, the opening and closing of the new span of the Bay Bridge, the devastating North Bay wildfires, the coronavirus pandemic and hosting KRON4’s big New Year’s Eve show.

But the best stories come from viewers who need help or a shoulder to cry on. I take pride in telling compelling, compassionate and clear stories that evoke emotion and action.

Before KRON4, I worked as an anchor and reporter at WCAU in Philadelphia, WHDH in Boston, WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida and WKTV in Utica, New York.

I am a proud graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

You might also know my husband, Grant Lodes. He anchors KRON4 News in Prime Time during the week.

Becoming a mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Even though I work late at night, I am up early doing Zoom school and taking my two kids to all the parks and beaches (and bakeries) the Bay Area has to offer.

My Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages are always filled with information on the big stories from the Bay Area and beyond. Plus, cute pictures of my family having fun together. Say HI if you see us around!

I also would love to share your story – you can send tips/questions/comments to jwaldman@kron4.com.
