Darya Folsom is the longest running morning anchor in the Bay Area. She came to KRON 4 in 1998 from Washington, D.C., where she was morning anchor for the Fox’s WTTG-TV. Before that she was an anchor and reporter in Phoenix, Portland Maine, Palm Springs, Boise Idaho and in Kansas.
Darya knew she wanted to be a journalist when she was 5 years old. She got her journalism degree from the University of Kansas.
Darya’s reporting has taken her 10,000 feet up to sky dive, to Guatemala to expose sweatshops, to Hollywood for the Oscars and to Chicago for the 1996 Democratic National Convention.
Outside of work, Darya is involved in many community and charitable endeavors and also loves to hike, work-out, do yoga and golf, but never ever does she watch sports on tv.
