Camila Barco is a morning multimedia journalist for KRON4 News.
She is originally from the East Coast — Miami, Florida — but has always dreamt of living and working in California.
Her love for hiking and the mountains started at the beginning of her journalism career in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Camila’s second job landed her in Jacksonville, North Carolina as a bureau reporter and fill-in anchor. During her two-and-a-half years at WNCT, she covered a capital murder trial, back-to-back hurricanes, a presidential election, and stories impacting the nearby military installations.
Her career in the newsroom started at WCTV as an intern.
She graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Media Communications and Criminal Justice.
Camila is excited to be living in the Bay Area. She loves day-trips and exploring new places.
