SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The California Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to drive safe and designate a sober driver ahead of Super Bowl Sunday celebrations.

According to the CHP, seven people were killed last year in California on Super Bowl Sunday in alcohol-related crashes, while another 134 individuals were injured. The law enforcement agency also says it made more than 350 DUI arrests on Super Bowl Sunday in 2018.
The CHP asks that football fans who plan to drink alcohol on Sunday leave their cars at home.
