If you thought we were done with all the rain, think again!

Another Atmospheric River is rolling towards the Bay Area and the North Bay will get hammered. 

When’s it all happening?

The storm sets in Monday afternoon through Tuesday night.

Scattered showers will continue into Wednesday morning. 

A  Flash Flood Watch has been issued for much of the North Bay, beginning Monday afternoon through Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says the North Bay coast and valley will likely get 3-5 inches between Monday and Tuesday and the hills and mountains will see 5-9 inches through Wednesday. 

The agency reminds North Bay drivers to stay away from flooded roadways. Small rivers, creeks and low lying roadways will be prone to flooding Monday through Wednesday. The Russian River could also see flooding as the storm moves through. 

Areas in the East Bay and South Bay are also under a flash flood warning, including Oakland, Fremont, San Jose and Santa Cruz. 

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the East Bay hills, along with the mountains and coastal ranges of Sonoma, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Contra Costa counties until 2 a.m. Tuesday. 

A Gale Warning is also in effect in the north and into the Bay and southern coast later Monday afternoon and into the evening.

Rainfall projections have since increased, with the following rainfall amounts estimated:

North Bay Mountains 5″-9″

Rest of Bay Area 2″-4″

Heavy winds are expected from Monday afternoon into Tuesday night, with the heaviest winds starting late Tuesday. 

You can expect the heaviest winds on the coast and hills, where gusts may range anywhere from 40 to 50 mph.
