Today is the kickoff of the Sunday Streets Season in San Francisco.

The event transforms the streets to car-free spaces for kids. 

From Duboce Avenue to 26th Street, Valencia Street will be blocked off to the cars – Only people on foot or bike are welcome. 

For the first of 10 Sunday’s, about 20,000 people are expected to come out. 

Live music, an outdoor lounge, pet adoptions, a mobile climbing wall, free scooter and bike rentals — There will be a number of fun activities to enjoy.

Starting at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. the road will be blocked, so if you are driving through the city, it is advised to avoid the area. 

In order to get to the event safely, there are multiple bus lines and two BART stations to make to the trip. 

The weather is also expected to stay clear following the winter rain.
