LUBBOCK, Tex. (KAMC) – You didn’t dream it, Red Raider fans. Texas Tech really did beat Michigan State on Saturday night in the Final Four for a chance to play Monday night in the NCAA men’s basketball national championship game.
Having beat the Spartans by a score of 61 – 51, Tech will now face the Virginia Cavaliers inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
What’s it like to win a national championship? We asked Steve Gomez who coached the Lubbock Christian University women’s team to a national championship (more than once actually).
Bryan Mudd and Eric Kelly reported live in studio while David Collier and Wes Rapaport reported live with the Red Raiders in Minneapolis. You can watch their special report in the video player above.
