San Francisco will soon be able to track down Uber passengers a lot quicker in case of emergency.
A new piece of software will allow Uber to share information with the city’s Department of Emergency Management.
Riders only have to push the emergency button on the Uber app and 911 dispatchers will be able to find the rider’s exact location, as well as a description of the car and license plate number.
San Francisco is the first city in the Bay Area to use it.
