More than 50,000 customers without power across East Bay

UPDATE: PG&E is beginning to restore power.

FREMONT, Calif. (KRON) — A mass power outage is affecting thousands of customers across the East Bay Saturday evening.

Neighborhoods in Union City and Fremont are being hit the hardest, according to a PG&E outage map.

The outages were first reported around 6:54 p.m.

PG&E says estimated restoration is around 10 p.m.
