SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) – A preliminary 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit Sonoma County Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake hit about 21 miles north of Santa Rosa around 11:50 am.

It had a recorded depth of 2.8 km.
