CONCORD (KRON) — Firefighters are keeping very busy these days as fire season got an early start this year. Several brush fires hit the Bay Area last week.
Crews quickly knocked down the flames from keeping this brush fire in concord from spreading to a major highway.
CAL FIRE is very concerned about this summer, especially after a rainy winter.
Grasses have been growing and when they dry out and die, they can easily catch fire, which is why officials started defensible space inspections in Sonoma County.
Officials are saying now is the time to start planning for the worst just in case.
