SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)– An early-morning garage fire in Nob Hill threatened a high-end restaurant as firefighters battled the blaze.

The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. on Sacramento Street between Polk Street and Van Ness Avenue, according to San

Francisco fire spokeswoman Jen Balestrieri.

Acquerello, a Michelin-star Italian restaurant was in the fire’s path of destruction but Balestrieri said she did not know whether the

restaurant sustained damages.

The fire appears to have started in a garbage heap against a garage wall. The fire was detained at 1:57 a.m. according to firefighters.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
