SAN LEANDRO (KRON)  — A Fremont was arrested for throwing a scalding cup of coffee in the face of a 7-Eleven clerk.  The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Oluwole Olugbemiga was panhandling outside of the 7-eleven when the clerk asked him to leave.

Police said that Olubemiga became agitated and punched the clerk in the chest twice, and then threw the hot coffee in the face of another clerk.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Olugbemiga outside, yelling at the clerks.

 Police arrested Olugbemiga on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and transported him to jail, according to police.

The clerk suffered minor facial burns.
