SAN JOSE (KRON) — A arrest has been made in a San Jose standoff that lasted ten hours.
Thursday night around 6:30 p.m., San Jose police got a call about a man who had barricaded himself with a gun inside a house near downtown, at 11th and Julian Streets.
Police said the woman told them that the man inside the house was drunk and had gotten into an argument with her.
The woman told police that he had pointed a loaded gun at her.
For hours, officers were on-scene with special forces teams. Around 4 a.m., they announced arrested 51-year-old John Adams.
Adams is currently being treated for pre-existing injuries, not related to his arrest. The woman was not hurt during the stand-off
Lt. Heather Randall with the San Jose Police Department said that they were able to recover a gun.
Police are still at the house, and there is no word when they will finish up there.
