ANTIOCH (KRON) — The carjacker who held two hostages inside an Antioch gas station was charged today, according to Antioch police.

The charges include four counts of kidnapping for extortion, false imprisonment, carjacking, four counts of attempted carjacking, brandishing a firearm at a police officer, auto theft, possession of stolen property, two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, and enhancement for prior prison.

The nearly three-hour long standoff with police came to end when one of the garage doors at the Arco station rolled open and hostages started to calmly exited the store. Gutierrez, came to the door, raised his arms then quickly lowered himself to his stomach.TIMELINE OF HOSTAGE SITUATION

Armed officers rushed the man and dragged him several feet away from the garage before placing him in handcuffs.SLIDESHOW OF STANDOFF

There were no reports of injuries.

Gutierrez is being held on $4 million bail.
