CONCORD (KRON) — A Concord woman contacted KRON 4, upset about water that is being wasted in her neighborhood. The woman says the water was just running into the drain for hours.

She shot video showing water pouring out of hoses, making puddles on Treat Boulevard in Concord.

This water is from a subcontractor who is making seismic upgrades to a major 24-inch transmission line. A representative from the Contra Costa Water District says that when the contractor began working, additional water was found in pipes that needed to be discharged before work could continue.

That representative said that they had the contractor bring in a tank to collect that water, and that the contractor started using the tanker to capture water after the woman shoot this video.

However, the woman says that she didn’t see a tanker being used at all on Tuesday.

The work near Citrus Avenue is supposed to be done tomorrow.
