RIDGEMARK (KRON) — A small earthquake rattle the town of Ridgemark in San Benito County Wednesday evening.
The United States Geological Survey says that the Magnitude- 3.0 quake hit around 8:30 p.m.
It was centered about 9 kilometers south-southwest of Ridgemark. That’s fairly close to Hollister.
The quake was reported to have a depth of 2.9 kilometers.
KRON 4 has not received any reports of damage from this earthquake.
Wednesday’s earthquake is the most recent quake to rattle the area. There have been a series of quakes along the Pacific Northwest.
The USGS hopes these smaller quakes remind people that California is earthquake country, and people should be prepared for a large earthquake to hit at any time.
