SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — President Obama is set to arrive in the Bay Area Friday afternoon to address the U.S. Conference of Mayors in San Francisco and attend Democratic fundraisers.
Following his scheduled arrival shortly before 1 p.m. at San Francisco International Airport, Mr. Obama plans to attend the 83rd annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel.
The conference is being hosted by San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and focuses on the economic health of U.S. cities.
During the president’s visit, he is also scheduled to attend fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, according to the White House.
DNC officials said their event will be a roundtable at the home of venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, with around 30 supporters attending and donating $33,400 each.
Mr. Obama is set to stay overnight in San Francisco before departing from SFO around 9:40 a.m.Saturday, according to White House officials.
