SAN LEANDRO (KRON) — Police are looking for suspects in an early morning home invasion that turned violent in San Leandro.
Around 12:45 a.m. Thursday police received word of a home invasion in the 2000 block of Lakeview Drive. When officers arrived, they found one victim suffering a gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to the hospital where he is being treated for his wounds.
Police believe there are up to four suspects involved.
One, or multiple suspects may have suffered gunshot wounds during the home invasion after the home owner exchanged gunfire, police said.
Alameda County Sheriff, CHP and Alameda County Fire Department and SWAT are all responding to the home.
The home has been cleared, but investigators are combing the area.
