SAN JOSE (KRON) — A woman was shot during an overnight robbery in San Jose, according to police.

Officers responded at 12:28 a.m. to a local hospital on a report of a woman with a gunshot wound.

Two victims said they were in the area of Deans Place Way and Ravens Place Way when four suspects drove up behind their car.

The suspects approached the vehicle, then ordered the victims out, physically assaulted the male victim and took his money, police said.

Both victims then ran back to their vehicle and started driving away when the suspects fired several shots at the vehicle, police said.

The female victim was struck by a bullet during the incident.  Her injuries aren’t life threatening, officials say.

The male victim also suffered minor injuries due to the physical assault.
