SAN BRUNO (KRON) — The City of San Bruno will be conducting DUI checkpoints on Saturday August 8 in an undisclosed area between the hours of 7 pm until 3 am.
In addition to Saturday’s DUI checkpoints the city will also conduct checkpoints for the next two Saturday’s.
On Sunday morning, officers will be deployed to areas with a high frequency of DUI collisions and or arrests, according to police.
San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini called the patrols a zero tolerance crackdown and that there is no excuse for anyone to drive under the influence especially with so many alternatives to get home safe nowadays.
The program is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
