SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A gas leak reported this morning in San Francisco’s Lake Street neighborhood has prompted evacuations of residents on one block, a fire department spokeswoman said.
The leak was reported at 9:27 a.m. in the 100 block of 10th Avenue between Lake and California streets, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
The leak was reported on a residential gas line and prompted fire crews to order the evacuation of residents from the 100 block of 10th Avenue.
The block has also been closed to traffic in both directions, Talmadge said.
No injuries have been reported and PG&E crews are on scene to try to cap the leak, she said.
