SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Instagram is no longer just for “squares.”
After years of being limited to square-shaped photos and videos, users can now post in portrait and landscape as well.
It means no longer having to crop out certain parts of a photograph to fit the square format.
The photo-sharing website made the announcement on a blog post Thursday.
Instagram is headquartered in Menlo Park, according to its Facebook page.
Square always has been and will be part of who we are. We’re glad that moments of every format will now feel at home on Instagram.
