ALAMEDA (KRON) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision in Alameda Monday around noon, according to police.
The driver had no drug or alcohol suspicion.
A 65-year-old Alameda resident was crossing Constitution Way when he was hit by a southbound vehicle in the right hand lane, according to police. The male victim was dead on the scene.
Traffic is stopped around Constitution Way and officers suggest avoiding the area for a few hours. Police are investigating the scene.
